Echosong nodded. Her legs shook and her claws dug deep into the tree's smooth bark as she slid toward the trunk. Carefully, she opened her eyes and jumped down. She landed on a branch and jumped again. Speeding up, she quickly passed her hidey-hole and landed next to her leader, still shaking, her tail tucked between her legs.
"That was horrible. I thought I was going to die!"

Horsestar purred happily. '' Of course StarClan wouldn't let that happen! You just got a bit freaked out is all. Are you ok now? '' He asked her.

She shook out her pelt. "We need more prey. Let's continue." She wasn't about o let a little scare force her to leave hunting. "Lead on."

Horsefoot nodded and then disapeared into the underbrush. She just doesn't get it... Horsestar thought to himself. She was a young and well abled she-cat and he just couldn't understand why she couldn't take another mate in the Clan, or why she would like him in the first place. '' I smell rabbit uphead. You go to the right and I'll go the left and then we'll chase it on both sides so it can't get away. '' He instructed Echosong.

Echosong nodded and slid silently off into the underbrush, circling to the right around her quarry. She glanced at Horsestar as she stalked the rabbit, parallel to him, and had to tear her eyes away for fear he'd notice her staring. She prowled nearer, the scent of rabbit flooding over the roof of her mouth, making them water. Her tail quivered at the thought of sharing her future catch with her leader. He has no idea how much that'd mean to me. Her thoughts conflicted with her hunt until she was afraid she'd mess up and lose her prey. She shook her head to clear it and tried to focus.

Darkfall padded after Horizenfall the big tom walked with an awkward gait. She as always had slowed her pace so he didn't fall behind and she had slowed it more then usual today to let him lead. His tail was lashing with frustration he had just missed a squirrel she purred with amusement as he cursed under his breath god she loved that stupid furball like a son.

Horsestar flicked his ear in annoyance as he noticed Echosong staring at him. She was acting like a dazed kit. She had to grow up! He had to admit she was a beautiful she-cat, but his heart belonged in the stars with Willow... If only she was here, she would know what to do with Echosong. She would come up with a solution where everyone was happy...
The dark furred tom let out a yowl of shock as a tripped over a tree root protruding from the ground. His thoughts had distracted him so much he hadn't noticed it at all. He stood up and shook his fur out with as much dignity as he could muster with an annoyed flick of his tail tip. This wasn't like him... It wasn't like him at all.
'' Maybe we should just return back to camp, Echosong. '' He meowed, his voice quieter than usual.

Horizenfall padded in front of Darkfall cursing under his breath his eyes narrowed. Stupid squirrel, stupid paw, stupid hunting. He sniffed the air and semlt a trush the he saw it eating and he began to stalk it getting closer and closer then he leapt killing it swiftly with a blow tho the neck. "Well done," he heard the familiar voice of his former menor the dark gray she-cat was padding towards him and mouse in her jaws. He watched her drop the mouse then sniff the air and prick her ears. "Rabbit," she murmured. Horizenfall followed her letting her get in front thenhe got in position wait for her to lead it to him. He heard her crashing through the under growth the rabbit ahead. He leapt out biting the gray creatures neck. He saw Darkfall pounce on a second rabbit killing it too. "I think this is enough for the day," Horizenfall mewed.
