Brushfire snorted in laughter, then, with a great leap, started to climb the small mountain, though just barely getting to the base. They had along way up.

Brushfire rolled her eyes and unsheathed her claws, letting herself slide down the side of the base.
She took Shadowpaw by the scruff of his neck in her jaw and carried him like a kit until they got to a flat platform-like spot on the mountain. They were halfway up by then.

"ok now more falling we have to be over the mountain by night fall." shadowpaw thought to himself. "can we take a short cut i saw a path that gose up and around all of the dirthills."

Brushfire let herself drop back down to where Shadowpaw was.
"You mean we don't have to climb that much? There's a path?"

"yes i rember that there was a path that would lead uses almost all the way to my old home,yes it is all coming back to me, ithhink we are close to finding my sister."

"Let's find this path," she mewed happily, "Then we wouldn't have to climb so much! Besides, playing in water then touching dirt doesn't go with my pelt." She unlatched her claws and started to glance around.

Brushfire snapped up the apprentice's scruff in her jaws and flashed around the bush. There WAS a path leading to a narrower upclimb.
Brushfire set the apprentice down, then started to skip up the beaten down grass.

Brushfire was already skipping ahead.
She had heard him, but pretended she didn't as she reached the top of the path. She glanced down.
The land below was baren; landing the illution of a dead fire, and Brushfire could only scowl at the sight. It all reminded her of the day when LeafClan burnt to the ground of her and Twilightclaw's doing. But life stirred here and there below; a rabbit passed, birds sang, and plants were growing; though the ground was still ashen.
A cat would easily live here if water was found. And if water was there, Brushfire thought, then a cat could surely survive on her own. If not there were other cats, it was a habitable place. She slid down a bit to a flatter spot on the now narrowing path and get a better view.
"Hey Shadowpaw," she called, "C'mere."

"ya what is it Brushfire." shadowpaw came bounding to where the shecat stood. "wow i can't belive this place is still full of life after that huge fire that happened do you think my sister could be down there?"

Brushfire turned to look at the black tom beside her.
"There's a really good chance," she replied, smiling her quirky smile. "After all this, I'm pretty sure that she is. After all, it's probably this was for LeafClan, too. But," she continued, "We'll never know, because I'm never going back there. Come on Short Straw, let's go explore!"
She unlatched her claws and slit down the slope.
"WHEEEEEEEEEEE-d'oh!"
(she fell face-first at the bottom xD)
