Alright, I know I just got here yesterday, but I saw some things here that kinda... I don't know, didn't seem right. In the form for the application, there is a lot of important things. But I found that it was missing one thing-the personality. I don't know if that's because it was forgotten or you wanted us to be able to get to know other cat's personalities through RPing, but I know I like the know what the person I'm RPing with is like before hand so I can have a little bit of insite as to what I can expect to read and even write myself.
I read somewhere (I think it was the FaQ, but I might be wrong) the you made this site so that it wasn't huge and fancy where you have to have a word count of over 100 (which actually isn't as bad as it sounds... XD One time, I was typing a post and I was thinking, 'Is that enough? Is it? I don't know! Write more, write more!' But that winded up being a very nice, long post in the end and the person who replied's post seem considerably smaller) and increadibly discriptive posts and applications and whatnot. And I agree with that. People shouldn't have to write 150 words just discribing how a person looks and acts. But I sort of agree the having at leasy somewhat of a word count-something small, like 10-20 words. Not even. Maybe even just three sentances. I saw a thread (where Brushfire was giving birth) where almost every post was a one-liner. Now, that's all fine and dandy until you take a bit and think, 'how am I going to make my post look somewhat decent when this person wrote only one sentance?'. It's difficult, and as a result, you usually wind up with a one liner yourself because you have little to reply to.
And this last one is more of a question then a suggestion. I read somewhere (same place where I read the stuff above) that you didn't want this site to have a very complex plot. Now I can understand that-joining the site in the middle of some big plot can throw you into a lot of confusion. Someone new posted in a thread where a group of evil cats were abuot to go through with a plan to attack the Windclan medicine cat (my little Swiftbreeze! D:< And by the by, one of my other cats was one of the evil kitties. >:3) on another site and they seemed really confused. I don't know if that's exactly what you meant by complex, though. And the confusion could have easily been fixed with reading the plot on an OOC post and maybe skimming through some of the posts where the cats were plotting. But what confuses me is you make it sound like this site will have no plot at all, or a very small one if any. And that might drive away new members in teh future or make the site loss some activity.
I'm not telling you that you have to use these ideas, rather, I'm just throwing them by you to see what you think.
